Who Am I?

My professional background is rooted in entertainment. I moved to Los Angeles in 2007 and earned my Master’s degree in saxophone performance from the University of Southern California. After several years as a teacher and studio musician for television and film, I chose to attend law school to shift my skill set to the business side of the entertainment industry. I attended Pepperdine University School of Law with the goal of becoming an entertainment attorney.

In 2010, when Colorado became the first state to legalize cannabis for adult use, my focus expanded to the emerging legal cannabis industry. Following law school, I worked in Corporate Business Affairs at William Morris Endeavor (now WME | IMG), while simultaneously working part-time in the legal cannabis space. In that role, I set out to deepen my understanding of the entertainment industry and connect entertainer-advocates with organizations and projects in the cannabis sector.

In 2015, I co-founded Frontera Law Group with Luke Stanton to build a practice at the intersection of cannabis, entertainment, and media. Through extensive networking and a first-mover approach in this niche, I developed a broad network of current and future tastemakers in the entertainment industry to help facilitate deal flow between entertainment and cannabis.

In April 2017, I co-founded Composite, a full-service creative agency dedicated to guiding and growing brands in the legal cannabis industry. Composite focuses on creative and content production, marketing research and strategy, and product development. This work has given me a practical understanding of the legal issues that arise where entertainment and cannabis intersect, including intellectual property, endorsements, licensing, and related civil, criminal, and regulatory concerns.

In 2019, Frontera Law Group merged with Vicente LLP, the nation’s largest cannabis- and hemp-focused law firm, and I have maintained an Of Counsel role with Vicente LLP since that time.

Beginning in 2020, I launched my own solo practice and began to devote a significant portion of my work to real estate in Santa Clarita. That work has evolved into a robust real estate transactional practice serving local market participants while drawing on my background in complex, highly regulated industries.

From 2023–2026, I was recognized by my peers in the “Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch” list for my work in administrative and regulatory law, corporate governance and compliance law, entertainment and sports law, real estate law, and intellectual property law.
